The Door to Hell

If your ever touristing past Turkmenistan (neighbor to Afganistan), you should check out “The Door to Hell”. Found this jewel on English Russia.com, a great blog. The story of this door to hell, started 35 years ago when geologists where there drilling for gas. They found an underground cavern deep underground, filled with poisonous gas. They ignited it in hope of getting rid of the poisonous gas, but it has been burning for 35 years now without a pause.
